Aftercare

I'll do my very best to ensure you leave your treatment with results that last, however, it’s important that you do your best to follow aftercare in-between treatments too. Following your treatment, you'll receive an email with my top tips for aftercare and you can find this guidance below. Please read and follow this as I can't guarantee longevity when aftercare hasn’t been followed.

Nails

Within 24 hours of a nail treatment:

  • avoid exposure to heat (eg sunbeds, saunas, hot tubs, etc)

Aftercare following a nail treatment:

  • avoid leaving your nails in water for long periods of time
  • avoid picking, peeling and biting your nails
  • avoid using your nails like tools - they are not indestructible
  • do apply cuticle oil regularly - this is so important for longevity
  • do wear gloves when cleaning & washing up, as well as when applying fake tan, tinted lotions & hair dye
  • do wash your hands after using sun cream, insect repellents, etc.

For the best care the gel should be removed professionally. If you'd like to remove it yourself, let me know and I'll send you instructions.

Lashes & Brows

Within 24 hours of a lash or brow treatment:

  • do not apply mascara/eye make-up
  • do not receive any other eye treatments
  • avoid getting your eye area wet and avoid swimming
  • avoid exposure to heat (eg sunbeds, saunas, hot tubs)
  • for lash lifts - do not wear contact lenses

Aftercare following a lash lift:

  • avoid rubbing your eyes
  • avoid sleeping on your lashes
  • do apply hair oil every evening (do not apply to lash extensions)
  • do comb your lashes upwards using a clean, dry spoolie

Aftercare following lash extensions:

  • avoid mascara, as well as oily products (including oil-based make-up and removers)
  • avoid rubbing your eyes, picking, pulling or playing with your lashes
  • avoid sleeping on your lashes
  • do clean your lashes regularly using a lash shampoo and soft brush, especially after crying or sweating
  • do comb your lashes upwards using a clean, dry spoolie

Waxing

Within 24 hours of a wax treatment:

  • avoid exposure to heat (eg hot showers/baths, sunbeds, saunas, hot tubs)
  • avoid friction (eg no massage on the area)
  • avoid vigorous exercise (eg gym or active sport) and swimming in chlorinated pools
  • avoid applying deodorants, body sprays, powders or lotions to the area
  • do wear loose fitting clothes
  • do keep the area clean (avoid scratching/touching the area with unwashed hands)
  • do use products recommended by your therapist

If any adverse reaction occurs, such as redness, inflammation or a rash of any kind, please contact your GP immediately. Please also contact me for removal of products, if safe to do so.
